Fantastic images to mark the recent celebration of the successful conclusion of the Fáilte Ireland Destination Towns initiative at VISUAL Carlow for the Carlow Tourism Industry Networking Event on April 24, 2024. Hosted by Fáilte Ireland, in partnership with Carlow County Council and Carlow Tourism, local tourism businesses were invited to discuss the latest plans and developments for Carlow. This included the newly launched Carlow Town Heritage Trail which aims to enhance the visitor experience and encourage visitors to stay longer and spend more in the region. A key focus of the event was exploring how to effectively showcase Carlow through collaboration and cross-promotion of the destination to potential visitors.

The initiative was celebrated in the presence of Councillor Andrea Dalton, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, and Mayor Cllr. Tom O’Neill, alongside stakeholders from Carlow Tourism, Carlow College, St. Patrick's, VISUAL Carlow, Carlow County Museum and County Carlow Chamber.

Carlow County Council Community Information, in collaboration with key local partners has announced the launch of Opportunity 2024 a skills survey aimed at shaping the future investment and opportunities for County Carlow.

Whether you're a resident, a professional, or a student, your insights are invaluable. By dedicating just 4 minutes of your time to completing this survey, you will play a pivotal role in positioning Carlow as a thriving investment hub while there is also an opportunity to avail of opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Encouraging people to participate, Linda Culleton, Economic Development Officer in Carlow County Council said, “Completing this survey isn't just about ticking boxes; it's about shaping your future and maximising your potential. Conways Kildavin is a family run pub and restaurant, situated at the foot of Mount Leinster and the start of the South Leinster way walking trail.

Conway’s Bar and Restaurant is well known for its top quality homestyle food, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. Food is served daily, Tuesday to Sunday. Conway’s is steeped in history and have created beautiful private snugs, warm fires and beautiful polished antique furniture and rest rooms.
